Apprentice and Trainee Training Fund (User Choice)

The Apprentice and Trainee Training Fund (User Choice) provides subsidies to Endorsed RTOs to provide training to Tasmanian apprentices and trainees.

The Fund is open to Endorsed RTOs to help cover the cost of providing quality training and assessment services for nationally-recognised qualifications to Tasmanian apprentices and trainees.

The Fund is a rolling program that is released annually. Applications for each Fund round close at the end of the applicable calendar year.

Skills Fund

The Skills Fund supports industries and businesses in Tasmania to grow and develop a skilled workforce by providing subsidies for training for existing workers to develop new skills through nationally recognised training.It is open to Endorsed RTOs working in partnership with an employer or industry association to deliver the training.

JobTrainer Fund – Qualification

The JobTrainer Fund provides free training for Tasmanian job seekers, young people aged 17-24 (including school leavers), and people of any age interested in studying aged care, childcare, disability care or digital skills qualifications.

The Rapid Response Skills Initiative

The Rapid Response Skills Initiative (RRSI) provides up to $3000 towards the cost of training for eligible people who have lost casual, full-time or part-time work in the last 12 months due to retrenchment, downsizing or business closure.

This includes self-employed people (sole-traders or partners in a partnership) who have closed their business.

Keystone Funding

Keystone will fund the nominated percentage of advertised course cost (plus GST if applicable) for applicants eligible under the Building and Construction Industry Training Fund Act 1990. Eligible businesses conduct 90% or more of their work on-site in the building and construction industry.

If a course is subsidised via funding from another source, the Keystone subsidy will be adjusted accordingly.
